These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the EDJ VNTGE website and the purchase of products from EDJ VNTGE LTD. By accessing our website and placing an order, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

About Our Products

EDJ VNTGE LTD sells Grade A second-hand vintage clothing. All garments are pre-owned and are not sold as new. Grade A vintage is defined as garments that are in good wearable condition but are expected to show signs of age and prior use. Such characteristics may include minor fading, light fabric wear, gentle distressing, softened materials, small imperfections, or other age-related features consistent with vintage clothing.

 

All garments are professionally laundered and pass through a strict quality assurance process prior to dispatch. This process includes authentication (where applicable), condition checks, measurement verification, and final inspection before packing.

 

We take care to accurately describe the condition of each item. Where a garment has visible marks, repairs, or notable wear beyond standard vintage characteristics, this will be disclosed in the product listing. Our descriptions are intended to give you a realistic picture of what you are purchasing.

Mystery Box Purchases

We sell mystery boxes where garments are individually hand-picked and curated by EDJ VNTGE at random for each customer. Boxes are not pre-packed and are assembled at the time of purchase.

 

When purchasing a mystery box, you understand and accept that item selection is random within the chosen size category. Specific brands, colours, styles, or resale expectations are not guaranteed. While we aim to meet general style preferences where possible, personal taste, brand preference, or subjective dissatisfaction does not on its own constitute a fault or misrepresentation, provided the items delivered match their description and are of satisfactory quality.

 

Mystery box contents will be of Grade A vintage condition as described above. Items will be as described and of satisfactory quality. If any item in a mystery box arrives with damage or defects that go beyond what is disclosed in the product listing, your statutory rights apply (see Faulty Goods below).

 

Please note: you retain the right to cancel any online order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. See the Returns and Cancellation Rights section for full details.

 

Sizing

As all clothing is second-hand vintage, original size tags may be missing, garments may have shrunk or stretched over time, and vintage sizing standards often differ from modern sizing. To provide accuracy, our team measures each top individually and assigns a “fits as” size based on its current measurements. Leg-wear is generally sized according to the original tagged waist measurement, typically found on the back tab or inner label.

 

Differences in fit due to era-specific cuts or natural changes over time are inherent to vintage clothing. We recommend customers size up for a more comfortable fit where unsure.

 

Fit preference alone does not constitute a product fault. However, if clothing does not fit, you may return it under your 14-day cancellation right. See Returns and Cancellation Rights below.

 

Bespoke Processing and Dispatch Times

All mystery boxes are hand-picked and curated individually to order. As products are not pre-packed and require sourcing and assembly, dispatch times are longer than standard mass retail operations.

 

Please be aware of the following timeframes before placing your order:

       UK orders: typically dispatched within 5–10 working days from the date of purchase

       Larger orders (multi-piece boxes or multiple box purchases): up to 15 working days to prepare

       International orders: typically 3–5 weeks from dispatch

 

Important: Delivery timeframes begin once the order has been dispatched, not at the time of purchase. These timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on order volume, seasonal demand, operational capacity, courier processing, customs clearance, or other factors outside our reasonable control.

 

Tracking information will be provided where applicable. A courier status of “Expecting Parcel” indicates the order has been prepared and is awaiting courier collection or processing. Brief delays between label generation and courier scanning are normal. However, if your order does not arrive within a reasonable time, please contact us and we will investigate promptly.

 

While we aim to dispatch within the stated periods, these timeframes do not remove your statutory rights. You retain the right to cancel and claim a refund if your order is not delivered within a reasonable time.

 

International orders may be subject to import duties, customs fees, local taxes, or handling charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer and are outside our control.

 

Returns and Cancellation Rights

Your Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.

 

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement sent to:

Your cancellation is effective from the moment you send your communication — you do not need to wait for us to acknowledge it. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the 14-day period expires.

 

Returning Goods After Cancellation

If you cancel within the statutory period, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation. Please send returns to:

The cost of returning non-faulty goods is the responsibility of the customer. We strongly recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.

 

Returned items must be unworn (beyond trying on), unwashed, and in the same condition as received. The right to cancel does not apply where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning. We reserve the right to deduct an amount for diminished value where applicable.

 

Refunds

We will reimburse payments without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods, or earlier upon receipt of evidence that the goods have been returned. Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

 

Faulty Goods

You have the right to return an item if it is received in a condition that does not match its description or is not of satisfactory quality. Your rights depend on when you report the fault:

 

       Within 30 days of delivery: you are entitled to a full refund (short-term right to reject).

       Between 30 days and 6 months: you are entitled to a repair or replacement in the first instance. If the repair or replacement is unsuccessful or not provided within a reasonable time, you may claim a full refund.

       After 6 months: you may claim a repair or replacement, but the burden of proof shifts to you to demonstrate that the fault was present at the time of delivery.

 

Please note that Grade A vintage clothing is expected to show signs of age and prior use as described above. Characteristics consistent with the product description and condition grade — such as minor fading, general wear, or era-specific features — do not constitute faults under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, provided they have been accurately disclosed in the listing.

 

To report a faulty item, please contact us at [INSERT EMAIL ADDRESS] with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs where possible. We will respond promptly and work to resolve the matter in accordance with your statutory rights.

 

Payment Disputes

If you have an issue with your order, we encourage you to contact EDJ VNTGE directly in the first instance so we can resolve the matter as quickly as possible. Most issues can be resolved quickly and without the need for third-party intervention.

 

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card provider. This allows us the opportunity to investigate and put things right.

 

We maintain full records of all orders, including order confirmations, product descriptions, policy acknowledgements, tracking records, delivery confirmation, and customer communications. These records may be used as evidence in response to any dispute.

 

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights or prevents you from exercising your right to cancel or claim a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
